CDELinux Secure Platform is an Appliance Operating System build on top of CentOS 5.4 , a robust, stable and secure Linux distribution targeting all range of companies. It comes with powerful administration tools (cdeadmin )  and has its own monitoring software ( remmon ) for updates and fixes. 

CDELinux has no GUI. It's a command line distro suitable for servers and high end systems.It has been designed NOT to include any appliacation but to support as many as possible through its Easy-Expansion Technology (EET). 

CDELinux 8.2 Secure Platform is the core of your appliance or Stand Alone Server. Using EET you can install  any of the supported applications with the press of a button.

Upgrade from CentOS 5.4 to CDELinux 8.2 is also possible but is not recommended. The procedure requires a 'Base ONLY' CentOS 5.4 installation. The upgrade process is done using the CDEsetup tool.

It is a MUST HAVE tool for companies offering  Linux solutions or companies with in-house IT department ready to minimize their cost by moving to Linux solutions.

In order to installed any of the supported applications you will need the following :

1. A license for CyLinux Repository (yearly subscription - can be used for ALL your installations)
   
2. A license for CDEadmin 0.6.x or above. (yearly subscription )
